Malte Sass
We enthusiastically welcome Malte Sass to Ingenieursbureau Evan Buytendijk BV, where he recently joined our team as Auditor and Consultant. Malte, originally from Germany and now living in the Netherlands, speaks fluent Dutch and brings a wealth of international experience that will undoubtedly enrich our team.
In recent years, Malte has profiled itself as a true expert in the field of wood purchasing and certification. His professional career has included leadership of procurement processes and compliance with crucial quality marks such as FSC, PEFC, and the EUTR. These experiences have given him a deep insight into the complex world of the timber industry, from sustainable forest management to the dynamics of the international timber trade.
Malte’s academic background in Wood Technology and Forestry from the Dresden University of Technology has given him not only a solid knowledge base, but also practical skills in the field. His master’s thesis research in Vietnam and his bachelor’s thesis in Ethiopia are just two examples of how far his passion for forestry and sustainability has taken him.
Privately, Malte is a devoted father of two young children, ages 1 and 2.5. He enjoys adventure activities and goes rafting in Germany every year with friends. This balance between family and adventure ensures that Malte starts working with a fresh perspective and a lot of energy.
With Malte’s passion for natural products such as wood and his drive to work purposefully on sustainable developments within the forestry and wood sector, we are convinced that he will make a significant contribution to our mission.
